Wolfforth Fire Academy is currently designing its EMT program. Details and the intial program start date will be forthcoming.

Crucial Function

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are crucial first responders in emergency situations, providing immediate care to those who are injured or critically ill. They are often the first on the scene of accidents, medical emergencies, or natural disasters, offering essential pre-hospital care such as CPR, bleeding control, airway management, and stabilization of patients for safe transport to healthcare facilities.

EMTs play a vital role in the emergency medical services (EMS) system, serving as a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the hospital, ensuring patients receive timely and effective medical care that can often mean the difference between life and death.

Invaluable Credential

Earning your EMT certification can be a very significant addition to your professional credentials. Since firefighters are often the first on the scene of an accident, fire, rescue or other problematic event, being able to render this critical aid can indeed save lives and is usually required by many states for firefighters. Sheriff's deputies, constables and police officers are also excellent candidates to earn this skillset and credential.
